How do I turn off Cozmo?

A. Place Cozmo on his Charger

• Place Cozmo on his Charger when it is plugged into a USB Power source
• A Sleep button will appear in the Cozmo app
• If you tap that Sleep button, Cozmo will go to sleep
• Green charging lights will appear on his backpack
• After 30 minutes of sitting idle, Cozmo will turn off

B. Close or background the Cozmo app on your device

• If you force close or background the Cozmo app on your device, within 20 - 30 seconds, Cozmo will go to sleep on his own.
• Cozmo's backpack lights will flicker with a White color
• After 30 minutes of sitting idle, Cozmo will turn off

C. Use the Sleep button in the Cozmo app Settings

• From the Cozmo app, click on the Settings button in the upper-right hand corner of the screen
• In the Volume & General section, click the Sleep Cozmo button
• Click the Sleep button in the "Sleep Cozmo?" dialog
• Cozmo will start to snore and finally go to sleep
• Cozmo's backpack lights will then flicker with a White color
• After 30 minutes of sitting idle, Cozmo will turn off

Once Cozmo goes to sleep (sorry, he does snore), he will quickly quiet down, but not turn Off. While your device will disconnect from his WiFi network, Cozmo's WiFi Network will continue to broadcast. It's still possible to reconnect to Cozmo without placing him on his Charger - he's still on. Only after 30 minutes of sitting idle will Cozmo turn off.

In some situations, if Cozmo does not disconnect his WiFi from your device, you may need to manually reconnect to your device to your home WiFi network via your device's WiFi Settings.
