Vector Web Setup Instructions
Please note, that these instructions are only to be used if you have received an official email from Digital Dream Labs or Created a new account at Stratus.ddl.io from a recent Vector purchase.
You will not need the app for any part of the setup at this time, please disregard the mention of it and only use the specified Web-based setup.
Stratus Account Setup
Please create an account if you have made a recent purchase and have not already done so. If you have and existing account log into Stratus.ddl.io after resetting your password with "reset password". Once logged in, navigate to either the License tab, if you have a lifetime license or Subscriptions if you are a yearly or monthly subscriber, and visually verify your 8-digit ESN/SN is correct and populated. If you do not see your 8-digit ESN/SN is populated, or if additional ESN/SNs are not populated, please contact us via support at the address below.
Onboarding Instructions
If you are an existing account holder prepare Vector By performing the following resets:
Firmware Recovery and then Clear user Data Reset Once the license is visually confirmed in status it is active and you can continue to the onboarding instructions to put your Vector on the DDL Connect cloud:
New account holders from a recent purchase, please proceed to the instructions below without the above resets. Visually verify your ESN/SNs is active in Stratus and then please follow the onboarding instructions to put your Vector on the DDL Connect cloud:
1. Ensure you are on the 2.4 GHz network/internet on your Bluetooth-enabled Laptop or Computer. Using a Chrome browser, go to https://vector-web-setup.ddl.
(Router splitting may be required, Vector only supports 2.4 GHz wifi)
2. Pair your Vector by pressing the back button 2x fast while on the charger to populate a BLE (Bluetooth) pairing code. Once the code is on the Vectors screen, use the code to pair by typing it in, check the auto flow box and push pair once added.
3. Next, when asked, provide the Wifi credentials for the 2.4 GHz wifi on your network. Vector will then update firmware and reboot.
4. You will also do this to authorize your account once Vectors Firmware is updated if you are an existing Vector owner. Once completed, when asked to, use the web portal only not the app to pair the same way and finalize onboarding.
4. Use the same logging information you provided for Stratus.ddl.io to log into the web-set-up portal with email and password when asked.
5. Add your Time Zone information and select if you would like Alexa set up and DDL shared information and confirm.
(If you select Alexa Set up, please follow the link on the Vectors screen in a separate browser tab with the URL amazon.com/code. Log into your Alexa account, pair with the code on the Vectors screen below the URL, and select allow.)
6. Once completed you will see an Activated screen on your computer or Laptop on the Web set up tab, your Vector will then be on the cloud with voice command functionality restored.
Reminder to our Vector Companions
(Please note: Faces previously known to Vector will need to be reintroduced with the command "Hey Vector, my name is______" Allow Vector to then rescan your face. Some services like Weather are not available at this time but our team is working to restore them)
