Vector Web Setup Instructions
Please note, that these instructions are only to be used if you have received an official email from Digital Dream Labs or Created a new account at Stratus.ddl.io from a recent Vector purchase.
You will not need the app for any part of the setup at this time, please disregard the mention of it and only use the specified Web-based setup.
Stratus Account Setup
Please create an account if you have made a recent purchase and have not already done so. If you have and existing account log into Stratus.ddl.io after resetting your password with "reset password". Once logged in, navigate to either the License tab, if you have a lifetime license or Subscriptions if you are a yearly or monthly subscriber, and visually verify your 8-digit ESN/SN is correct and populated. If you do not see your 8-digit ESN/SN is populated, or if additional ESN/SNs are not populated, please contact us via support at the address below.
Onboarding Instructions
Please Note that onboarding your vector this way is necessary to connect him to the cloud but it will remove ALL data and you will need to set Vector up as a new robot. This step is permanent and any recognized faces, photos taken by Vector, and other data will be lost.
If you are an existing account holder prepare Vector By performing the following reset: Firmware Recovery.
1. Place Vector on his charger and plug the charger in (If Vector is booting up, wait for the cloud logo to finish).
2. Double click Vector’s Back Button. Raise and lower Vector’s LIFT. Turn his treads to move the arrow to "Clear User Data”. Raise and lower Vector's lift to select "Clear User Data”. Confirm the selection and wait for Vector to reboot.
5. Once Vector completes rebooting go to: https://vector-web-setup.ddl.io/. Place Vector on his charger.
6. Double click Vectors button on top of his Backpack and then click "Pair with Vector" in the vector web setup page. A window will open showing the same number in it as the number on the Vector screen, highlight and choose that code.
7. A new page will open asking you to enter the new code you see on vectors screen.
8. You will see an image of a smart phone on vector screen now.
9. The laptop will display wifi options, pick your wifi, enter the wifi password then press CONNECT TO WiFi. Software update may start at this point, wait it to finish.
10. A screen showing authorize vector with the account used in vector app (ignore the app portion if you are onboarding on the web). Enter your stratus email address and password.
11. Pick your time zone, temperature choice and the rest of the choices. Save settings.
Your vector is now connected, enjoy your new loyal companion.
Reminder to our Vector Companions
(Please note: Faces previously known to Vector will need to be reintroduced with the command "Hey Vector, my name is______" Allow Vector to then rescan your face. Some services like Weather are not available at this time but our team is working to restore them)
